Kristie
Beatman worked as a professional dancer, singer and actress for fifteen
years before entering New York University to earn her Masters of Arts Degree
in dance. Earlier she earned her BA in Theater & Dance from Antioch
College. After earning her Masters, she moved to Lancaster to begin a career
as a teacher choreographer.
She has taught jazz, theater dance, tap and
ballroom to high school and college students throughout the area and worked
extensively as a musical theater choreographer. In 1998 Ms. Beatman founded
a dance program at Lancaster Catholic High School and in 2000-2001, spent
a year as Visiting Professor of Dance at Franklin & Marshall College.
Currently she is Adjunct Professor at Dickinson College and continues to
teach at Lancaster Catholic
High School.

Molly Carey
Molly
Carey has been teaching young children since 1979. She has a degree in
Latin from Franklin and Marshall College and has taught high school
Latin in Virginia. While in Virginia, Molly began coaching and teaching
gymnastics in the local recreational programs. There she developed a creative
movement program for young children.
As a gymnast at F&M
Molly began taking dance classes for the enhancement of her floor and beam
routines, and she continued to study dance for the fun and beauty of it.
She has had the opportunity to coach and assist in the development of two
Olympians, and to choreograph routines for gymnasts who have competed in
the USAG National Competitions.
Molly has certifications
in Movement Education from both the USAIGC (the gymnastics professional
organization) and the USAG (The governing body of American gymnastics).
She also holds their safety certifications. Currently, she is working towards
the Cecchetti Teachers Certification. She has been assisting and teaching
at Lancaster School of Ballet for ten years. |
Victoria
Coble
Victoria
Coble trained in Moldova at the Choreographic College and the Academy of
Arts of the Republic of Moldova. She was a lead dancer with the State Academic
Dance Company “Joc” in Moldova and toured the globe with this respected
company performing dances and solos from around the world. Her choreography
is included in “Joc’s” repertoire. Victoria is a guest faculty member of
Lancaster School of Ballet.

Joyce Freeman
Ms. Freeman majored in Dance and Dramatics at Harcum College, with courses in all phases of dance as well as theatre. She studied classical ballet (French, Russian and Italian techniques) at Ballet repertory in New York City and was tested to teach by Dance Masters of America and Dance Educators of America. She is a certified accredited teacher.Joyce continued her education at Dance Caravan, Professional Dance Teachers of America, Dance Olympus, Serena's, Joe Tremaine Seminars and Paul Monty in New York. She also attended master classes in Hawaii and Baltimore.
Ms. Freeman is a professional dance and competition judge and a choreographer. She has choreographed more than 40 shows for theatres and schools throughout the area. A few of the theatres are: Whitaker Center, Theatre Harrisburg, Fulton Opera House, York Little Theatre, Cross Keys Dinner Theatre, York Valley Inn, Topasic, and many schools. Joyce has performed in, and held leading roles in several local theatre productions and musicals.
She's taken courses in child psychology, anatomy, stage makeup, music theory, choreography, mime, gymnastics, belly dance, aerobics, Hawaiian dance, and all of the ballroom dances, and the list goes on.Joyce has studied with such well known dancers as Ben Vereen, Madame Hilda Butsovia (understudy to Anna Pavlova) Thalia Mara, Gene Nelson, Frank Hachett, Yerik Lawzowshi, Matt Mattox, Jacki Sorensen, just to name a few.
Ms. Freeman owned and operated her own dance studio for many years, but sold the studio in 1998. Since that time, she has been a freelance instructor and choreographer.

Matthew (matisse) Metro
Trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and musical theater at the Dance Conservatory of Southern Minnesota, the Mankato Ballet, and Mankato State University, Matthew can be named among the alums of Chicago-based Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, and most recently as a principal for the Cerqua Rivera Dance Theater.
Between rehearsals, tours, and performances, Matthew still found time to travel half-way around the world to Japan, where he was one of the original cast members in Tokyo DisneySea's Mystic Rhythms. He also taught master classes for the Michigan Ballet Theater and Chicago's Lorraine Gray Dance Studio.
Matthew prides himself in being a passionate, disciplined teacher and a diversifies, spirited performer.

Carolyn Wienand
Carolyn Wienard, Ka Chiea, teaches Belly dance of Middle
Eastern dance. She has over 16 years of training with master teachers in
Egyptian, Oriental, Gypsy and African dance.
She has been teaching and
choreographing for over 11 years. Currently she teaches and performs with
the dance troupes “Blue Oasis and Desert Wind.” Performances include the
PA Renaissance Faire, Lancaster Summer Arts Festival, Millersville University,
Sahara restaurant as well as various workshops and high schools.

Viktor Yeliohin
Ballet Master, Choreographer, and Teacher, Viktor was born in Tashkent in the former Soviet Union. His ballet studies include training in character, folklore, drama, music, mime and dance history.He spent a year in Samarkand with the ballet Master from the Kirov Ballet. He joined the Donetsk Ballet in 1976 as a soloist.
Viktor has studied the Vaganova Syllabus in Leningrad and at Gittis Conservatory. In May 1995, he received a diploma of "Professor of Choreography" from the Academic Board of the Ukraine Academy of Dance in Kiev. He teaches at dance studios in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. |
